We know that STP can achieve link redundancy, but when the network link state changes, STP will re-elect the root switch, root port, designated port, etc., thus generating a new tree network topology. This election process makes STP convergence time longer (usually 30-50 seconds), and such a long convergence time is not enough for some applications. How to solve this problem?
